baby steps

From the creators of the igloo in the backyard, and the producers of lego city in the basement, the three baker-flynn bros bring you madape. We don’t have much of a mandate, other than to have a central place for keeping track of each other, sharing experiences with whoever is interested, and making the world a better place.
As this is a joint blog, the content will vary greatly. For example, anything posted by matt will probably be of high, nay pulitzer quality. I wouldn’t expect as much from the other shlubs. Hooray for brotherhood!

I believe that is one point for me. We will tally points at the conclusion of this blog. Winner gets all the cheese.

At the moment, I am in Xining, the capital of Qinghai province. With roughly six weeks to go in my China experience, I’d say this blog came not a moment too soon. I’m currently wrapping up work in anticipation of the upcoming National Day holiday, which starts October 1st and lasts for seven days. I had been planning a trip to Lhasa, but apparently a large section of the National People’s Congress will be visiting there, mucking up traffic and filling hotels. I’ll probably spend the time biking across southern China instead.
